The passage of daylight underlines the transparency of the government and openness towards its citizens. The daylight is directed down into the chamber by rows of mirrors. Movable computer-controlled sunshields protect from direct sunlight. The viewing platform is accessible via two identical, intertwining spiral ramps of shaped steel sheet.
