Al Maqta Bridge with a total length of approximately 300m was the first landmark bridge in Abu Dhabi and the first solid connection of Abu Dhabi Island with the main land constructed in 1967.

At the request of Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), Waagner Biro Gulf LLC designed and built water transport stations throughout Dubai Creek, along Dubai’s coast line and Dubai Marina, from smaller Abra stations to larger water bus, water taxi and ferry stations. One brief we received was to design and build a large public water station to link the Al Ghubaiba metro station with Dubai’s water transport system. As a station for water taxis, water buses and ferries, it had to be modern but,
due to its location in Dubai’s oldestt area, it also needed to reflect the Country’s heritage.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

It is an architectural landmark and a technical masterpiece at the same time. The intention was to create a symbol of democracy and freedom on this historically important building. The steel-glass construction allows uninterrupted views into the chamber of the German Bundestag. The passage of daylight underlines the transparency of the government and openness towards its citizens. The daylight is directed down into the chamber by rows of mirrors. Movable computer-controlled sunshields protect from direct sunlight. The viewing platform is accessible via two identical, intertwining spiral ramps of shaped steel sheet.

Engineered Bridge, Suspension Bridge

Europabrucke or “Europe’s Bridge” is a 777m long bridge spanning the 657-metre Wipp valley south of Innsbruck, Tyrol, Austria.  The European route E45 passes over this bridge, above the Sill River.  It was one Europe’s highest bridge, built by Waagner-Biro in 1963.
